Truth Sells the Doors
I have built everything I have in this business the same way I intend to keep it: by telling the truth.
Not the convenient version. Not the version that simply feels good but delivers no outcome.
The version that actually serves the process — the owner’s process, the buyer’s process, the family’s process when an asset has to move and the clock is already ticking. First-class judgment. Real experience. Winning in liquidation and acquisitions here in Florida because the work is done clean.
It worked in Texas. It worked in Utah. It worked in Virginia. New Mexico, Iowa, Chicago, Maine, Minnesota, the Carolina’s, you name it I’ve been around!
It worked Nassau to Daytona. In Duval. In St. Johns. Geography changed. The standard process of winning has not. Everywhere you go has the same opportunity: compete to be the best at truth-telling while mastering the skill of industry — legally, ethically, every single time with proof of outcome delivered.
These deals sell from a standard above the usual standards of quality and talk. To me that is real love. Not a slogan. Proof. Showing people with evidence instead of empty words that betray asset owners. By walking the talk you sell so well.
But for those who feel the calling I do - there is something you must know and remember deep down about your journey to the top, the right way.
No cut corners.
There is a force that will push back and it is this. I found a quote from a movie and adapted it below:
There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the force that pushes back against your life progress.
Remember this, freedom and truth are a pure idea. They occur spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of truth are occurring constantly throughout the world. There are whole towns and cities that have no idea that they’ve already enlisted in the cause.
Remember that the frontier of any industry’s best is by the correction being everywhere. Even the smallest acts of truths push our lines forward.
And remember this: there are those among us who need lies for their control and are so desperate to keep the system broken because it is so unnatural. Misleading the consumer requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Misleading and hiding and lying to consumers is so brittle! It is the mask of fear they wear against the truth they dare not own and deliver to the consumer.
Remember that. And know this, the day will come when all these moments of everyone choosing and doing the right things in hard events, these moments of defiance will have flooded those who would seek to mislead and harm, until finally one day there will be one too many of us holding the line of truth in how we deal.
One single thing will break the cycle. A new process will emerge in the markets and dominate to scale beyond anything else.
Remember this: Tell the truth. Don’t stop trying to tell it to everyone you can.
Truth is spontaneous. It does not need a cover story. It just is. Lies need constant maintenance. Negligence always gets exposed. It is only the focused and the disciplined who take the cake. The makers. The creators. The ones who dare to mold the world instead of waiting for it to be polite.
How can you not get excited about that?
Our world is short on inspiration. We lost the voltage we had as kids and called it professionalism. Bring it back in yourselves. You have limitless energy until you don’t — and even then it is still inside you. I lost it for a good while. I shut it off to work because that is what worked for me. But I always tried to keep moments of remembering. Moments of gratitude. That is what loving the process of life means.
Loving it!
Use it. Use that fire for the attainment of the things you actually feel matter. No one else can do it the way you are inspired to.
That is the journal. That is the practice. The same oath every morning: tell the truth, trust the process, deliver the judgment, win the right way.
The doors open for that.
They always have and they always will for me.
